The High Time We Had A Website Blog

Dear Blogosphere,

Gimmicky

To be honest, we’re collectively a bit out of practice when it comes to writing thank yous (not because we haven’t had lots of favours and gifts and stuff, but because we no longer live with our Mums).

Anyway, we’ll try to keep this one from sounding forced, formulaic and false. We just want to say a big “Thank You” to everyone out there who linked to HTWHAW, and wrote about it.

There’s a full list of links somewhere on the right to return the favour.

Some highlights:

- Love Creative obviously take their name rather literally (and managed to resist the temptation to say the same about us).

- makethelogobigger made us ’sick as a parrot’ by comparing the voice-over to accents found in Guy Ritchie films.

- But then AdRants made up for it.

- And, a site called Capital in Bulgaria either said it was good, or bad, or indifferent. If anyone can translate, please could you shed some light on this? You’ll need to follow the link and scan the copy for the word Nonsense (along with “Innocent”, it’s the only one in roman script!).

Just in case you missed it, here’s the write up High Time We Had A Website got in Campaign:

Campaign's diatribe

Our thanks go out to Kate Nettleton at Haymarket for getting it in there. Kate; your bribe will be on its way shortly.

What’s this for then?

Hello and welcome to the High Time We Had A Website blog. We’ve tagged this on to the main site so that we can document how Nonsense is going about making its agency website.

If you’ve voted, you’ll know the start of the story; we’ve had a few ideas, made some little videos of them, and right now we’re asking you to vote for the one you like best. At the end of the month, the idea with the most votes will get made into our agency website. Simple.

This blog will become like a development log, telling the inside story of the creative and technical processes that’ll kick in as we set about making the winning idea into a website. A bit like we do for our clients when we do digital stuff for them (and hopefully just as collaborative). If you want in on that, then subscribe to our feed now.

In the meantime, we’ll post any little stories that might crop up during voting.

Make sense? Hope so. Bye for now.
